Come Out, Come Out Wherever You Are...

OH!!!
Well, I hadn't bothered to check there...

According to an article in Penultimosdias.com, Carlos Valenciaga, formerly Fidel Castro’s personal secretary and head of his Coordination and Support Staff, has a new post working at the National Library, in the manuscript department.

Wonder if maybe he'll be writing one to let us in on some of the secrets?...you're right, probably not, but hey, it's a thought.

How the great do fall.

I have to wonder, though, if this is one of the reasons that Fidel's Reflections (once upon a time pet-named Valenciagas by more than a few Cubans) have changed so much recently.

The “Valenciagas” will be missed by some. A job at the National Library is not a bad post. There are treasures to be found there as in any library. Anyone who frequents them knows that.

I'm afraid the Valenciagas will be missed by none, except that they occurred less frequently than these reflexiones. And while I agree that V could've received a worse fate, going from a top-level post to working at the department of manuscripts is quite a blow.
